I went to brush my teeth, but instead of a toothbrush, I had a toothcomb. Something didn't seem right, but the word "toothcomb" seemed like it was legitimate, so I proceeded to comb my teeth. It hurt and I couldn't get the toothpaste to foam. D***** walked in and handed me a toothbrush. Much better.

Underground, c. May 28, 2011
Setting
A small town outside Lima, Peru.
A hillside factory with 25 basement levels where manufacturing moves further and further underground as it emerges as a well-guarded celebrity playground.
A hillside factory with 25 basement levels where manufacturing moves further and further underground as it emerges as a well-guarded celebrity playground.
Next door, a café where the woman recently elected mayor serves pale beer cocktails from behind the bar. The house special: watery sardine stew served over rice.
Amidst unannounced military training exercises, a group of privileged parents debate the merits of encountering Americanized grocery stores abroad. The main character (me) busies herself arranging transit to the States for herself, her sister (D******) and a group of employees. She is somewhat aware that the factory owner intends to smuggle the passengers by baking them into the underside of a bus made of clay. Despite escalating gunfire, celebrities continue to arrive via limo, helicopter and private jet.
